What is your work style?
The Team section's first-visit intro does not start by asking you to enter a roster. Its start step is a two-minute work-style check you take yourself, right there in the intro: "Rate how much each line sounds like you. About two minutes, and IQ maps how you work."
The check is 24 short lines, and for each one you tap a rating from 1 to 5 between "Not like me" and "Very like me." There is no essay, no right answer, and no setup: the questions are on the panel the moment it opens. You do not even have to finish all 24; once you have rated at least half, the button switches from "Rate a few more" to See my work style, though every line you rate sharpens the result.
Scored instantly, in your browser
Tap See my work style and the result is on screen immediately, because the scoring runs right in your browser rather than on a round trip to a server. No email is sent, no invite is created, nobody is notified, and nothing waits on anyone else. The result reads "Here is your work style," with your profile card: how you tend to work, in the same four-dimension vocabulary the whole Team section uses. What the dimensions mean and how to read a profile is covered in depth in work styles on the Team section.
Behind the scenes, and without holding up the reveal, the result also saves to your account, and this is the part that makes it more than a quiz:
- It attaches to you as a team member. Your result lands on your own row in the team roster. If you were not on the roster yet, common for a brand-new account, your row is created as the owner right then, so the roster starts with the person it should always start with.
- It seeds the team's mix. The Team section's read of your crew's combined styles starts with a real data point from minute one: yours. Every crew member who takes the check after you adds to the same picture.
- It completes the first step of the Team climb. The section's first capability is on, and the Get IQ Up To Speed row advances to the next step.
Note
Only you see the questions while you answer, and the check carries no pass or fail. A work style is a description, not a grade: there is no style the platform scores as better, only differences worth knowing before they show up on a job.
The handoff: now invite the crew
One profile describes a person; the section is about a team. So the result screen points straight at what comes next: "Next, have your crew take it and see where your styles line up and where they clash." That next step, Invite your crew, waits in the Get IQ Up To Speed row on the Team home, and it works the way you would hope: add your people and send them the same check by email. Each teammate gets a link, completes the same 24 lines on their own without needing to log in, and their result attaches to their roster row the same way yours did.
The climb pays out in stages. With a second result in, you get styles side by side, so you know who fits which role. With three or more, IQ can read the room: where your crew's styles line up and where they clash, before it costs you on a job. And beyond your own steps sits the network layer, how your team's mix compares to operators like you, which appears as more operators contribute and is never a task or a count against you.
Replaying and revisiting
The intro, including the check, can be replayed anytime by adding ?showIntro=1 to the Team page address. Your saved result lives with your team member profile in the Team section, alongside everyone else's as they come in, and the section's work-style surfaces are covered in work styles on the Team section.
