The Get IQ Up To Speed row

What this row is

On the home page of a section that is still learning your business, a row titled Get IQ Up To Speed sits above the section's regular content. It is the persistent half of section onboarding: the first-visit intro hands off to it after your first step, and from then on this row carries the rest, one tile per remaining step, until IQ knows the section and the row retires.

The framing is deliberate. IQ is your new hire, and this row is you bringing it up to speed: the tiles read "Teach IQ your renewals," "Show IQ your P&L," "Show IQ a sub's coverage," not "complete your profile." Each step you close is one more thing IQ can watch, read, or warn you about on its own from then on. The progress tile

The first tile in the row is the count. Its eyebrow reads Your New Hire, the big number reads N of M, and the line under it says what the count means: things IQ knows about this part of your business so far. On Certifications, for example, it reads "2 of 4" over "things IQ knows about your certifications so far," with a copper progress bar underneath.

What N and M actually count matters. M is the number of things you can teach IQ in this section yourself, and N is how many of them are done. Network comparisons, the peer reads that appear as more operators contribute, are never part of M and never move N. They are not yours to close, so they are not counted against you, and no tile in this row will ever ask you to do anything about them. A section can read M of M, and retire this row, while its peer comparison is still filling in; that is by design, and it is not about anything missing from your data.

The task tiles

After the progress tile, one tile per remaining step, in climb order, cheapest first. Each tile carries the step's title in the operator-onboards-IQ voice, straight from the same registry every onboarding surface uses. Real examples:

• Teach IQ your renewals, then Show IQ your coverage, Show IQ your crew, and Give IQ your documents on Certifications.
• Tell IQ your size, Show IQ your P&L, and Show IQ your job costs on Margin.
• Show IQ a sub's coverage, Show IQ your bench, and Show IQ your sub invoices on Subcontractors.
• Show IQ a tool you use, Show IQ your stack, and Show IQ your vendor invoices on Vendors.
• Take your work-style check and Invite your crew on Team.

Under the title, a line says what the step asks for in plain terms ("Add a profit and loss export," "Add one sub and their COI or workers comp expiry date"), so you know what to have in hand before you tap anything.

What Add does

Every task tile ends in an Add button, and it does one of two things depending on the section.

For most sections, Add opens the in-place capture right there on the page: type the record in, drop a file, snap a photo, or paste it, without leaving the section. You hand over the artifact, IQ reads it, and the tile clears on its own once the data lands.

A few sections are fed from somewhere else entirely, so their Add routes you to where the work actually happens instead of opening a capture that would have nothing to catch. Forecasting, for example, is built from your job history, so its task sends you to Jobs; Impact is built from the decisions you act on, so its task sends you to your decisions. Either way the button takes you to the one place that closes the step, never to a dead end.

The row retires

When every step is done, the row does not sit there at full as a trophy. It disappears entirely, title and all, and the section's home page closes up around where it was. IQ is up to speed on this part of your business; the section now runs on its own, and the same steps keep themselves current in the background as new records flow in.
