What the Review profiles shelf is
Every review you get, on every platform, starts somewhere: a customer who typed a rating into Google, or Trustpilot, or Yelp. The Review profiles shelf is where Verinode shows you, platform by platform, whether that source is connected, what it is currently telling you, and which direction it is moving. It is the row where you manage the actual sources feeding your reputation picture, the same role the Stack row plays for vendors or the Recent Jobs row plays for jobs.
Verinode does not write reviews, respond to customers, or decide what your reputation is worth. It reads what is already sitting on these platforms, once you connect them, and lays the pattern out so you can see it at a glance instead of checking five different sites by hand.
Where to find it
Open Reputation from the sidebar at iq.verinode.ai/reputation. The page stacks four rows top to bottom:
- A hero panel with your Trust Score and headline counts.
- Take Action, decisions and the reputation agent.
- Overview, three metric tiles (How you're doing, Reviews, Response Time).
- Review profiles, the shelf this article covers, a horizontal row of one tile per platform.
The Manage profiles button in the page header, next to the standard Send data button, opens the same connect and disconnect controls the shelf tiles use, in one list.
The five platform tiles
The shelf always shows five tiles, in a fixed order: Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, BBB, Facebook. Every operator sees all five, whether or not the platform is connected, so the shelf doubles as a checklist of where your reputation lives.
Each tile carries a small accent color that echoes the platform's own brand color (Google amber, Yelp red, BBB blue, Facebook navy, Trustpilot green), so you can scan the row and recognize a platform before reading its label.
Unconnected tiles
If a platform has no profile linked yet, its tile reads:
- Label: the platform name (Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, BBB, or Facebook).
- Headline: "+ Connect".
- Meta line: "Not connected yet."
- A one-line reason to bother, specific to that platform:
- Google: "Where most homeowner-direct leads start" - Yelp: "Local search lift in metro areas" - BBB: "Carriers reference during program reviews" - Facebook: "Reviews show in local FB ads" - Trustpilot: "Where carrier-program operators are checked"
Clicking an unconnected tile opens the connect flow for that platform (see below). It does not open a review list, since there is nothing to show yet.
Connected tiles
Once a platform has a linked profile, its tile shows the live numbers instead:
- Headline: the platform's current star rating, one decimal place, with a star symbol (for example "4.7 ★"). If the profile is connected but no reviews have been scraped yet, the headline reads "No data yet" instead.
- Meta line: "N reviews · X% reply", the platform's total review count and its owner-response rate, rounded to the nearest whole percent. If there is no score yet, the meta line falls back to the stance reason (see below).
- Badge, a trajectory arrow in the corner:
- ↑ (Deere Green), the platform is healthy. - → (muted gray), the platform is drifting, worth a look but not urgent. - ↓ (Ember Red), the platform is exposed and needs attention. An exposed tile also renders with higher visual intensity so it stands out in the row.
- Preview line: a short, plain-language reason for the current stance, for example "Trust score 44, response rate 32%" or "Driven by trust score 44, response rate 32%, 3 negative reviews in 90d."
Clicking a connected tile opens the Reviews list filtered to that platform, so you land directly on that source's reviews instead of the full cross-platform feed.
How the stance is set
The stance behind each arrow is not a guess, it is computed from that platform's own numbers over the last 90 days:
- Exposed (↓) when any of the following is true: the platform's Trust Score is below 50, its owner response rate is below 40%, or it has picked up three or more 1 or 2-star reviews in the last 90 days. The preview line names whichever of those drove it.
- Drift (→) when the Trust Score is between 50 and 70, healthy enough to not be a fire, but with real room to improve.
- Healthy (↑) when the Trust Score is 70 or above.
- A fifth internal state, Watching, covers a platform with no profile connected yet or a connected profile with zero reviews scraped, which is why unconnected and just-connected tiles never show a trajectory arrow at all, there is nothing yet to trend.
Connecting a platform today
Verinode supports live scraping on two platforms right now: Google and Trustpilot. Those are the only two tiles that behave as fully wired connections end to end, review pulls, nightly refresh, and Trust Score computation. Yelp, BBB, and Facebook stay on the shelf and in the data model so the picture is complete and future-ready, but connecting them or scraping their reviews automatically is not live yet.
Clicking + Connect does different things depending on the platform:
- Google opens a search modal. Type your business name (pre-filled from your company name) and city or state, and Verinode searches Google Places for matches. Pick your listing from the results, or paste a Google Maps URL directly if the search does not surface it. If the business name you pick does not clearly match your company name, Verinode shows an ownership warning before connecting, so you do not accidentally link a competitor's listing.
- Trustpilot (and any other platform, if the roadmap adds live support later) opens the Manage profiles modal with that platform's row expanded, where you paste the profile URL and business name directly.
- 1Click + Connect on the platform tile you want to add, or click Manage profiles in the header to see every platform in one list.
- 2For Google, search your business name and city, then confirm the correct listing from the results (or paste the Maps URL).
- 3For Trustpilot, paste the profile URL and business name into the row that expands.
- 4Verinode analyzes reviews on connect and refreshes nightly after that. The tile switches from "+ Connect" to your live rating within one analysis pass.
Note
The Manage profiles modal only lists Google and Trustpilot as connectable today, the same two platforms the shelf supports. Yelp, BBB, and Facebook show as "Not connected yet" everywhere in the product until their scrapers are wired in.
Disconnecting a platform
From Manage profiles, a connected platform shows a disconnect control instead of a connect form. Disconnecting asks you to confirm first: "Disconnect [Platform]? Reviews stay in Verinode but stop showing on /reputation. You can reconnect anytime." Disconnecting is a soft removal, your historical reviews are not deleted, they simply stop appearing until you reconnect the profile.
Reading the shelf as a whole
The shelf earns its place on the page because it answers one question fast: which of my review sources need attention right now, and which are fine. A quick scan pattern:
- Any tile still showing + Connect for Google or Trustpilot is a gap worth closing, connecting a platform is often the single fastest way to get the reputation picture (and the Take Action decisions above it) working with real data.
- Any ↓ arrow is worth clicking into immediately, it means recent reviews, response rate, or Trust Score on that specific platform have crossed a threshold Verinode treats as exposed.
- A row of all ↑ arrows across your connected platforms means your reputation posture is solid across the board, and the Take Action row above will likely be quiet too.
The shelf also feeds the How you're doing tile in the Overview row directly above it: connecting more platforms and keeping response rates high on each is what moves the composite Trust Score and the "How you're doing" trend line.
