What this page is

Notification preferences is where you decide which emails Verinode sends you outside the app itself. It does not control what appears in the Feed or the in-app bell dropdown, both of those keep working regardless of what you toggle here. It only controls what lands in your inbox: a weekly digest, signal alerts, weather alerts, a daily proverb line, and a bundled reminder for plan steps that are due, plus a Pause notifications hold at the top of the page for putting the recurring email on ice while you are away. Below the toggles, two more groups shape the timing rather than the on/off: Daily Digest (send hour, weekend skip, and which categories feed it) and IQ Delivery (quiet hours, a per-day cap, and optional roll-up summaries for IQ's own outbound emails).

Verinode does not decide what matters to your business. These toggles decide what it is allowed to interrupt you about, and how. Turn a channel off and Verinode simply stops emailing that category, nothing about your data, your signals, or your decisions changes.

Where to find it

From the sidebar, open Settings, then in the Account group click Notifications (subtitle: "Digest, alerts, reminders"). That takes you to /settings/notifications. A back link at the top left reads "‹ Settings" and returns you to the Settings index.

The same Account group also has a Profile row (your name, email, phone, job title, avatar) at /settings/profile. The email address on that page is the address every notification below is sent to, if you want notifications going somewhere else, update the Email field on Profile first.

Pausing everything for a stretch

Before the toggles, the page opens with Pause notifications: a time-boxed hold for vacation or PTO, captioned "Going on vacation or PTO? Put your recurring updates on hold. They resume on their own when you're back. Billing, security, and account notices still reach you." Press 1 week or 2 weeks, or pick a return date (tomorrow at the earliest) and press Pause. The hold runs to the end of your chosen day in your local time, then lifts on its own; while it is active, a "Paused until [date]" banner with a Resume now button takes the section's place. Unlike flipping the toggles below, nothing here is permanent and nothing is forgotten: your toggle choices are untouched and simply take effect again when the hold ends. Full detail, including exactly which emails are held, is in pausing notifications for vacation or PTO.

The five toggles

Every switch here saves the moment you flip it. There is no separate Save button and no confirmation banner on success, the switch just moves and the preference is written. If a save fails, a red error line appears under the list of toggles; on the digest and alert toggles the switch also reflects your new choice optimistically and only reverts if the save call errors, on the reminder toggle it reverts back to its previous position and shows "Could not save reminder preference."

Weekly Email Digest Summary of signals, vendor updates, and platform activity. This is the closest thing Verinode has to a standing newsletter about your own operation, one email that recaps what surfaced across your account in the period.

Signal Alerts Immediate notifications when high-priority signals are detected. Unlike the digest, this is not a batch, it fires as soon as something flagged as high priority appears, so you hear about it the same day rather than waiting for the weekly roundup.

Weather Alerts Storm and severe weather notifications for your service area. This is tied to your business's operating region, not to any single job, it is watching for weather events that could affect your market broadly (a lead-generation and staffing signal for restoration work, not a job-specific storm note).

Daily Proverbs Inspirational proverb on the morning welcome card in your feed. This is the lightest-weight toggle on the page, a short line of text that shows up with your morning welcome card. Turning it off removes the line, it has no effect on any other notification.

Plan Step Reminders Daily email bundling every decision step that is overdue or due today. In-app reminders stay on either way. This is the one toggle on the page that is not a notification category so much as a channel switch, decision steps still show up as reminders inside the product (the bell dropdown, the decision workspace) no matter how this is set. What this toggle controls is whether those same overdue-or-due-today steps also get bundled into one daily email. Turn it off if you'd rather check the app than get emailed, turn it on if you want a nudge in your inbox each morning.

Note

Plan Step Reminders defaults to on. If the toggle briefly doesn't appear when you first open the page, that's normal, Verinode is reading your current preference before it renders the switch, and it appears a moment later.

Tip

If you want fewer emails without losing anything time-sensitive, keep Signal Alerts and Plan Step Reminders on and turn the rest off. Those two are the ones tied to something actually due or actually urgent, the digest, weather, and proverb toggles are ambient.

Beyond the toggles: Daily Digest and IQ Delivery

Below the five switches sit two more groups that shape when and what, rather than on/off. Daily Digest is where you pick the send hour (your local time, 7:00 AM by default), skip weekends, and choose which of the nine categories feed the digest. IQ Delivery paces IQ's own outbound emails: quiet hours (default 8:00 PM through 7:00 AM), a per-day cap (default 8, with anything above it queued rather than lost), and three optional roll-up summaries that are off by default. Both groups save each control the moment you change it, same as the toggles, and the same digest preferences are also editable from the mobile app under Settings, then Notifications. The full walkthrough of every control lives in notification preferences: digest, alerts, and reminders.

What isn't on this page

If you're looking for pacing or focus-area controls for what shows up in your Feed itself (as opposed to what gets emailed), that's a separate page, see Feed & Decisions settings if that article exists in your help center, otherwise it's the "Feed & Decisions" row in the same Account group.

Heads up

Turning off every toggle on this page does not mean radio silence. In-app notifications (the bell dropdown, banners in the Feed, decision-workspace prompts) are separate from email and are not controlled here. These toggles only stop emails.

Best-practice example

An operator who checks Verinode every morning anyway typically turns off the Weekly Email Digest and Daily Proverbs (both are things they'll see in the Feed regardless) and leaves Signal Alerts and Plan Step Reminders on, so the two time-sensitive channels still reach their inbox even on a day they don't log in. An operator who travels a lot or checks the app less often usually leaves everything on, since the weekly digest and the daily reminder email are the backstop for anything they'd otherwise miss.

  • The Feed: what shows up in-app regardless of these email settings.
  • The decision workspace: where the plan steps behind the reminder email actually live and get worked.
  • Acting on decisions: what a decision step is and how it gets marked done.
  • Forwarding documents: the inbound side of your account, separate from these outbound notification settings.
