The Apps row on every section

What changed

Every section home now carries a row titled Apps, sitting between the hero and the rest of the page. It holds the section's tools: the things you can start, open, or add at any time. Take Action, where it appears, now carries decisions only: the specific calls Verinode has surfaced on your book, each with the dollars at stake. Tools in one row, decisions in another.

The reason is practical, and you may have felt it. Tools and decisions used to share one row, and decisions always sorted first. That buried the permanent tiles at the far end of a long horizontal scroll, including the one tile that tells you exactly what to send to open up a section you have not fed yet. Worse, the tiles that start an analysis politely hide themselves when they have no finding to show, so on a book with nothing flagged, the row offered no way to start an analysis at all. Splitting the rows fixed both: a decision is something Verinode brings to you, a tool is something you reach for, and now each has a home that behaves like what it is.

What sits in the Apps row

The order is consistent across sections, so your hand learns where things are.

• The section's analyst app leads. The dark album-cover tile with the breathing "Live" dot: Vendor Review on Vendors, Contract Review on Clients and Compliance, Job Performance and Estimate Analysis on Jobs, and so on. • Generators and add tiles follow. The tools that produce or record something: Create SOP and QA Audit on Processes, the Maintenance Plan builder on Equipment and Fleet, Draft a Requisition on Recruiting, and the plain add tiles, Add Job, Add Vehicle, Add Facility, each stating what hangs off the record once it exists.
• The Talk to IQ tile. A copper tile with an Ask IQ chip that opens the section's specialist conversation, seeded and ready for your first message. Once you have engaged with IQ on that section, the tile retires; it is a front door, not furniture.
• The unlock tile. When a section is still missing the data that makes it work, this tile says so specifically: cold, it reads "Make [Section] work" and names the exact exports to send, each with its source tool; partially fed, it reads "Deepen [Section]" with a checklist of what is in and what is still missing. Fully fed, it disappears. This tile is the reason the split mattered most: the instruction for opening a section should never be the thing buried at the end of a scroll.

Tiles in this row manage their own retirement, and when every tile in a row has retired, the row itself disappears. An Apps row that shows only two tiles is not missing anything; it means the rest of the chrome has done its job and left.

Sections without a Take Action row

Not every section surfaces decisions, and those sections no longer pretend to. Fleet and Facilities carry no Take Action row at all; in its place sits a Needs Attention row of count tiles, each one a door into a filtered view rather than a decision: overdue compliance items, insurance expiring soon, driver issues and at-fault accidents on Fleet; lease notice windows approaching, compliance overdue, and consumables below their reorder point on Facilities. These were never decisions, they are exceptions worth a look this month, and a row named "Needs Attention" is honest about that in a way "Take Action" was not.

A few other sections, Forms, Impact, and the Vault among them, carry no Take Action row because no decisions originate there: Forms and the Vault hold your artifacts, and Impact reports on decisions you made elsewhere (its own Decisions row is analytics, counts of what you acted on, parked, and ignored, not new calls to make). Their Apps row carries the tools, and the rest of the page carries the content.

Reading a section home now

The rhythm on every section is the same. The hero tells you where the book stands. Apps is what you can do: start an analysis, generate a document, add a record, open the conversation, or see exactly what to send to light the section up. Take Action, where the section has one, is what Verinode thinks is worth your week, and it stays honest when empty rather than padding itself with tools. Then Explore and the content rows below carry the depth. Once you have the pattern on one section, you have it on all of them.
