What this is

The pricing modal is the one surface in Verinode where you compare membership tiers and change your plan. It is not a separate page, it is an overlay that any upgrade prompt in the app can open on top of whatever you were doing, so you never lose your place to go price-shop. The same modal opens whether you clicked "Compare all" in Account, a blurred benchmark elsewhere in IQ, or a notice that your Intelligence Units have run out.

Verinode is an independent data trust and an AI Co-COO: it reads the data already flowing in from your inbox and tools and turns it into peer benchmarks and process insight. What changes tier to tier is how much of that work Verinode does for you each month, not whether the platform is usable. Every tier, including the free one, has full access to every section.

Where to find it

The modal itself has no address, it opens from a CTA. The main place you will find those CTAs:

  • Open Account from the sidebar (iq.verinode.ai/account), then the Membership tab. Under Your Membership (paid tiers) or Become a Member (Contributor), a Compare all button in the section header opens the modal on the full tier grid.
  • The same tab shows an inline rail for the one tier directly above your current plan, with its own Become Executive, Upgrade to Premier, or equivalent button. Clicking it skips straight to that tier's checkout or upgrade step, it does not stop on the grid first.
  • If you are mid-way through a claimed Executive preview, a banner reads your days left and a Keep Executive button opens the same modal pre-selected on Executive.
  • Anywhere else in IQ that a feature is gated, blurred benchmarks, an Intelligence Unit exhaustion notice, a decision paywall, the same modal opens, usually with the tier that unlocks that specific thing already emphasized.

Note

Every entry point opens the identical modal. There is no separate checkout flow hiding behind one CTA versus another, only which tier arrives pre-highlighted differs.

The tier grid

The grid is the modal's opening view, titled Membership at the top. Above the four columns sits a short line of positioning copy: "Verinode turns the data already in your inbox and tools into peer benchmarks and process insights. An AI Co-COO that works exclusively for you. Pick the membership that fits how you operate." A USD / CAD toggle sits beside it, so you can check pricing in either currency before committing. The modal opens on the currency already on file for your account, but you can flip it freely while browsing.

Four columns run left to right: Contributor, Executive Member, Premier Member, Reserve Member. Each column carries the same shape:

  • The tier name, in small caps.
  • A pill in the top right when relevant: Current plan on your own tier, or Recommended on whichever tier the CTA you clicked was pointing at (Executive by default).
  • The annual price, or Free for Contributor.
  • A one-line pitch for what that tier's depth of work looks like.
  • A short bulleted list of what you get.
  • An italic footer line spelling out the tier's raw numbers: monthly Intelligence Unit allotment, operator cap, and billing cadence.
  • A control at the bottom: Your current plan (a plain label, not clickable) on your own tier, Included on any tier below your current one, or a button to move up on any tier above it.

Contributor (Free)

Full platform access. The pitch: "Full platform access. Your data builds the network benchmarks. Starter Intelligence Units cover your first stretch of decisions and analysis with IQ." What's listed:

  • Full access to every section
  • Forward invoices and upload documents anytime
  • Starter Intelligence Units included
  • Peer benchmarks shown as summaries

The footer note: "IQ pauses once you've used your starter capacity." That is the whole shape of the free tier: nothing is hidden behind a locked page, but once your one-time starter Intelligence Units run out, IQ pauses new AI work until you top up or become a Member. Peer benchmark numbers show as summaries rather than the full detail Members see, that is what "shown as summaries" means on this card.

Executive Member

The pitch: "IQ works your priorities. The decisions that matter most each week, across your whole platform." What's listed:

  • Capacity for about 50 decisions a month (1,500 Intelligence Units, then a per-unit overage rate once you exceed that)
  • Network peer benchmarks (national cohort)
  • Verinode Score on every vendor, equipment, carrier
  • Operator Health Score and decision tracking
  • 1 operator working with IQ. Unlimited data contributors, free.

Footer: "1,500 IU/mo · 1 operator · unlimited data contributors · annual." Price is $4,200/yr in USD. The 50-decisions figure is Verinode's own rule of thumb for what a typical decision costs in Intelligence Units, it is not a hard cap, it is context for what 1,500 IU a month buys. Once you run past the included 1,500, additional units bill at a per-unit rate shown right in the bullet (it changes with your billing currency).

The "1 operator" cap means one person actively working decisions with IQ under this membership. It does not touch how many people can forward documents or contribute data, that is unlimited and free on every paid tier, because the whole model depends on data flowing in from everyone at your business, not just the person with a login.

Premier Member

The pitch: "IQ works your whole business. Insight across every part of your operation, not just the priorities." What's listed:

  • Capacity for about 200 decisions a month (6,000 Intelligence Units, then a per-unit overage rate)
  • Regional and specialty cohort filtering
  • 12+ months of trend history and custom comparison sets
  • 2 advisor hours per year for strategic questions
  • Quarterly research call. Submit questions that shape the next publication.
  • Up to 5 operators working with IQ. Unlimited data contributors, free.

Footer: "6,000 IU/mo · up to 5 operators · unlimited data contributors · annual." Price is $7,200/yr in USD. Premier's per-unit overage rate is lower than Executive's, the more you commit up front, the cheaper each additional Intelligence Unit costs. "Up to 5 operators" is a membership cap, not seats, five people at your business can each be working decisions with IQ under one Premier membership.

Reserve Member

The pitch: "IQ works every corner of your business. The most thorough read Verinode offers, with nothing left unexamined." What's listed:

  • Capacity for about 500 decisions a month (15,000 Intelligence Units, then the lowest per-unit overage rate of the three paid tiers)
  • Full multi-location roll-up across your whole portfolio
  • Custom annual report, hand-prepared for your operation
  • Request a custom specialist agent tuned to your questions
  • 5 advisor hours per year
  • Up to 15 operators working with IQ. Unlimited data contributors, free.

Footer: "15,000 IU/mo · up to 15 operators · unlimited data contributors · annual." Price is $12,000/yr in USD. Reserve is built for a multi-location operation: the operator cap climbs to 15 and the roll-up covers your whole portfolio, not one location at a time.

Tip

Read the footer line on each card, not just the headline pitch. "1,500 IU/mo · 1 operator," "6,000 IU/mo · up to 5 operators," "15,000 IU/mo · up to 15 operators" is the actual spec difference between the three paid tiers. The pitch above it tells you the depth of work each tier is built for, the footer tells you the numbers behind it.

The 14-day Executive preview

If you are on Contributor, a banner sits below the grid: "Not ready to decide? Preview Executive free for 14 days." with a note underneath, "No card. Full Executive access, then it reverts to Contributor unless you become a Member." Click Preview Executive free and, while it processes, the button reads Starting…. On success the page reloads so the new preview tier reflects everywhere in IQ, nav, paywalls, the membership card.

This preview is a one-time offer per operator. If you have already used it, clicking the banner again fails with "You have already used your Executive preview." A generic failure ("Could not start the preview. Please try again.") appears if something else goes wrong on the attempt. Verinode sends reminders as the 14 days run down; if you take no action the account reverts to Contributor automatically at the end of the window, no charge, no card was ever collected.

The footer of the grid always closes with: "Cancel anytime. Read the trust contract." linking out to Verinode's data-use commitments, and a Not now button that closes the modal without changing anything.

Choosing a tier: what happens next

Clicking a tier's button in the grid takes one of two paths, depending on where you're coming from:

  1. 1You are on Contributor, or moving to a tier that isn't strictly above your current paid tier. The modal switches to the Checkout view. This is a full Stripe Embedded Checkout mounted inline, no redirect to a separate page. It runs in subscription mode, so your card is captured and saved to your account, meaning a later Intelligence Unit top-up can charge that same card with one tap, no re-entry. A note above the embedded form confirms which membership you're completing. A Back to plans button returns you to the grid without charging anything.
  2. 2You are already an Executive or Premier Member moving up (Executive to Premier or Reserve, Premier to Reserve). The modal skips checkout entirely and goes to the Upgrade view instead. There is nothing to fill in, Verinode modifies your live subscription and charges only the prorated difference to the card already on file. The screen shows "Upgrading you to [tier]… Charging the prorated difference to your card on file. One moment." while it runs.
  3. 3Either path lands on the success screen once it completes.

Each column above your current plan carries its own button, worded to what it does: "Become Executive" when you're moving up from Contributor, "Upgrade to Premier" once you're already an Executive Member, "Become Premier" from a fresh start. The column you click always determines which tier you actually move into, if you're unsure which plan a button leads to, check which column it sits in rather than the exact wording.

If the in-app upgrade needs extra card verification (a bank's 3D Secure step), Verinode handles that inline before finishing, you may see a brief authentication prompt from your card issuer. If the upgrade fails outright, the screen reads "That didn't go through." with the specific reason underneath: a missing active membership to upgrade from ("We couldn't find your Executive membership to upgrade. Contact support@verinode.ai."), a failed card authentication, or a generic error. Back to plans and Try again buttons sit below.

Checkout and success

While Checkout is open, the modal's title bar reads Checkout. Once Stripe confirms the payment, or the in-app upgrade finishes, the modal moves to the success view, titled Welcome. It shows a checkmark and "You're now a [tier] Member." with: "Your Intelligence Units are landing now and your full membership is unlocking across IQ. Welcome to the trust." A single Start using IQ button closes the modal.

Behind that screen, the actual tier flip and Intelligence Unit grant happen through Verinode's billing webhook, not instantly in the browser. The modal quietly checks your account a few times over the following seconds so your Intelligence Unit balance, nav, and any blurred benchmarks update on their own, no page reload required. If you close the modal immediately, the update still lands, you'll simply see it reflected the next time you look rather than on the success screen itself.

Closing the modal at any point, whether by the X, clicking outside it, pressing Escape, or Not now, always resets it back to the tier grid. A re-open never leaves you stuck mid-checkout or staring at a stale success screen.

Heads up

The modal captures a real card in Checkout mode. Even though Contributor is free and no charge happens until you actually select a paid tier, once you're on the Checkout view for Executive, Premier, or Reserve, completing the embedded form is a live subscription charge on your account's billing currency.

Best-practice example

An operator on Contributor runs their starter Intelligence Units down while working the Feed and gets an IU-exhaustion notice. They open the modal from that notice rather than hunting for Account, since it opens on the spot with Executive already recommended. Not ready to commit a card, they instead claim the 14-day Executive preview from the banner below the grid, no card, full Executive access. Two weeks in, the reminder emails have made clear the trial is ending, and by then the extra decision capacity and national peer benchmarks have proven their worth, so they return to the same modal (via Keep Executive on the trial banner), pick Executive on the grid, and complete Checkout. Three months later their business adds a second location and a second person starts working decisions in IQ, so they open Account > Membership > Compare all again and click through to Premier, this time via the in-app Upgrade path: no new card, no new checkout, just the prorated difference and a short wait on the upgrade screen.
