What this page is

Your data is the page for the three things an owner does with the whole account rather than with one record: take a copy of everything in it, hand it to someone else, or close it. It sits under Data & Privacy in Settings (/settings/account).

Nothing on this page happens quietly. The export is built while you wait and filed where you can find it again; the closure shows you exactly what goes, what Verinode has to keep and for how long, and what has already become part of the peer benchmarks, before you type anything.

Take it with you

What it is. One spreadsheet holding every record your account has: jobs, costs, supplements, estimates, invoices, clients, vendors, carriers, team records, equipment, facilities, reviews, goals, and the documents you uploaded or forwarded.

What you get. A single .xlsx workbook, one sheet per kind of record. It opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets with nothing else installed. The first sheet is a Read me listing what is in the file, how many records each sheet holds, and what is deliberately not in it.

Each data sheet has two header rows: the first is the column in plain words ("Job number"), the second is the name Verinode's systems use (job_number). The second row is what an accountant or another system will ask you for.

How to get it. Press Download. The file is built while you wait, so a large book takes a moment. When it is ready it also lands in Data › Documents, where you can download it again for as long as the account is open.

What is not in it, and why. Four kinds of thing:

  • Key material. The wrapped keys that encrypt your columns. The data they protect is already in the file, in the clear, so a copy of a key in your inbox would only be a risk.
  • Live connections and tokens. The credentials that let Verinode reach QuickBooks, your mailbox and your calendar. They are replayable and worth nothing to you outside Verinode.
  • Working notes from reading your documents. Every fact the reader produced is in the sheets; what it was thinking while it read is not.
  • Peer benchmarks. The numbers you see against your peers are built from many operators and belong to the network, not to one account. Your own figures behind them are in the sheets.

Ask privacy@verinode.ai if you want any of that anyway and we will go through it with you.

Note

Export My Data on Privacy & Legal is a different file: it is your own user account — memberships, consents, acceptances, profile. The business's book is this page.

Hand it over instead

If you are leaving but the company is not, a handover is almost always what you want. It keeps the business, its book, its benchmarks and its history exactly where they are and changes who the account belongs to. Nothing is exported, merged or erased.

Promote the person taking over to admin in Members & Roles first, then get in touch through Support and we will take you through the rest.

Close this account

Who can. The person the bill is in the name of. If that is not you, move the billing contact in Members & Roles first, or ask them to do it. If nobody is marked as the billing contact, any admin can.

What you prove. Your password, always, and a fresh code from your authenticator app as well if you have two-factor turned on. If your account has neither — you signed in with Google and never set a password — you will be asked to set one up under Sign-in & Security first. Closing the account is the one thing Verinode will not do on a sign-in alone.

What you are shown. Before you type anything, three lists:

  • Deleted, and not recoverable. Your whole book. Everything you uploaded or forwarded, the files themselves and not just the rows pointing at them. Your Vault Key. Every sign-in on the account. Your rows in any network roll-up your franchisor or association could see.
  • Kept, and why. The record that you asked for this, kept so we can show the deletion happened and was yours. Which terms your seats accepted and when. Invoices and payments, which are Verinode's accounting records as much as yours and which tax law does not let either side delete on request. Files you attached to a support ticket, kept so a closed ticket can be reopened — ask and we remove those too.
  • Already part of the network. Your rows come out of the benchmark tables and every peer group you were counted in is recomputed without you. What was already published is a number mixed from many operators: it carries no name and no link back to you, and for that same reason it cannot be taken apart again to remove your share. This is worth reading twice, because it is the part a deletion screen usually leaves out.

How to confirm. Type your company name exactly, then your password. There is no undo, no grace period, and no copy kept for you — download the export first if you want your records.

What happens next. Everything above runs immediately and you are signed out. On a very large book the last steps can run on after you leave; they finish automatically and we email you either way.

Heads up

Closing the account removes every seat on it, not only yours. Anyone on your team who signs in elsewhere with the same address keeps that separate account.

If you want part of this rather than all of it

Two narrower things exist and neither closes the account:

  • Stop contributing to peer benchmarks but keep your book. Write to privacy@verinode.ai.
  • Empty the book but keep the sign-in. Request data erasure on Privacy & Legal does exactly that: every consent revoked, every contribution removed, all operational data deleted, and an empty account you can start over in.
