Reports & Communication is where Verinode HQ turns your network's aggregated data into something you can hand to a board, a franchisee, or a prospective member, and where you send a message to everyone at once. It lives in the HQ sidebar as Reports and loads at hq.verinode.ai/reports.
Everything on this page is built from network-level aggregates and rollups. Nothing here shows you a single franchisee's private business detail: no one operator's raw revenue, no one operator's client list, no one operator's job-level numbers. What you see is the network shape, compliance standing, and communication history, the same boundary that holds everywhere else in HQ.
What's on the page
The page opens with a hero panel, then four rows of tiles: Quarterly Reviews, Member Cohort · Compliance · Recruitment, Surveys, and Broadcasts. Tapping any tile opens a four-tab detail view (Quarterly, Other Reports, Surveys, Broadcasts) with the full list and more detail per item, but no deeper drill-in past what's already an aggregate or a message you sent.
The hero
At the top, under the eyebrow "Comms · Network reach," the headline number is operators reached in the last 30 days. This is the sum of read counts across your recent broadcasts, a proxy for how much of the network is actually seeing what you send. It is not a list of who read what: it never resolves to a specific operator.
If you've generated at least one quarterly review, a pill next to the headline reads "Last quarterly [date]." Under that, a line of context reads either:
- With no reports or broadcasts yet: "Reports + broadcasts surface here once you generate or send them. Quarterly reviews auto-generate on the first day of each quarter."
- Once you have activity: "[N] reports on file · [N] surveys in last 30 days · [N] broadcasts."
Three supporting numbers sit below the headline: Reports on file (all report types, all time), Surveys (30d) (surveys authored at HQ in the last 30 days), and Broadcasts (all broadcasts sent, all time).
Quarterly Reviews
This row is your executive report across the network: revenue, margin, and cycle-time by location with the cohort trend; compliance and safety standing by location and where the network is slipping; and the recruitment pipeline and the moves that matter for next quarter. It's built to be board-ready and shareable as-is.
The row always opens with a launch tile for the Quarterly Report deck ("The executive report across your network"). That deck has three tabs:
- Overview: what the report contains and why it matters, with a labeled example so you know what to expect before you've generated your first one.
- Library: every quarterly review you've generated, each with its PDF and spreadsheet links.
- Generate: where admins trigger a new report on demand.
If no quarterly review exists yet, the row shows a hint underneath the launch tile: "Auto-generated on the first day of each quarter at 06:00 UTC. Open the deck to generate one on demand." Once reviews exist, each one appears as its own tile: the period it covers (or its generation date, if no period is set), when it was generated, and a status badge showing what's ready ("PDF + xlsx ready," "PDF ready," "xlsx ready," or "Generating" while the artifacts are still being built). The most recent review renders larger and brighter than the rest so it's easy to spot.
You don't have to wait for the quarterly cadence. Admins can generate a quarterly review at any time from the Generate quarterly review button in the page header, or from the deck's Generate tab. Either path builds a fresh PDF and spreadsheet from the network's current numbers and adds it to the Library.
Member Cohort · Compliance · Recruitment
This second row holds the other report types HQ can produce on demand: Member Performance (member cohort reports), Compliance Audit, and Recruitment Pack, each with its own accent color so you can tell them apart at a glance. Every tile shows the period it covers (or its generation date), when it was generated, and which artifacts are ready: "PDF + xlsx," "PDF," "xlsx," or a dash if nothing's ready yet.
With none generated, the row reads: "On-demand reports, Member Cohort, Compliance Audit, Recruitment Pack, appear here as you generate them."
Surveys
Surveys HQ has created appear here, most recent first. Each tile is labeled by pattern: Network Survey for surveys sent directly to every operator in the network (hq_to_members), or Team Template for a survey template HQ built for teams to run themselves (hq_template_for_teams). The tile shows when it was sent, or "Draft" if it hasn't gone out yet, and, if set, when it closes.
With none yet, the row reads simply: "No surveys yet."
Broadcasts
Broadcasts are one-way messages HQ sends to every active operator; they land directly in each operator's IQ feed. Each tile shows the subject, the message body, when it was sent, and a read count in the corner, letting you gauge reach without ever seeing which specific operator opened it.
Admins send a broadcast from the Send broadcast button, shown at the end of this row (and available whenever the row has content). The compose form takes a subject and a plain-text body only; the helper text under the body field spells out exactly what happens next: "The broadcast lands in every active operator's IQ feed; read receipts roll back up to your Broadcasts tab." On send, you get a confirmation like "Sent, delivered to N operators."
With no broadcasts yet, the row reads: "HQ broadcasts to franchisees with read receipts surface here," alongside the Send broadcast button for admins.
What admins can do vs. what everyone can read
Every group member who can reach the Reports page can view all four rows: reports, surveys, and broadcast history are visible to any HQ user in the group. Two actions are gated to admin members:
- Generate a report on demand: the header's "Generate quarterly review" button, and the deck's Generate tab, only render for admins. Everyone else can browse the Library but can't trigger a new one.
- Send a broadcast: the "Send broadcast" button only appears for admins. Non-admin members can read past broadcasts and see their read counts, but can't compose a new one.
If you don't see the generate or send controls, your account isn't set to admin for this group.
How this stays on the aggregates-only side of the privacy boundary
Reports & Communication is built to be safe to hand outward, to a board, an investor, or a prospective franchisee, without a second look:
- Quarterly, cohort, compliance, and recruitment reports are built from network rollups across every location: totals, trends, and comparisons, never a single operator's raw ledger.
- The "operators reached" figure is a sum of broadcast read counts, a reach metric, not an attendance sheet. It never resolves to "which operator read this."
- Broadcast content is encrypted at rest. When your session holds the group's admin key, HQ decrypts the subject and body for display; if it can't, the page falls back to the same content stored in plain text as a safety net during the encryption rollout. Either way, only your group's admins can compose and read broadcast content, and it never crosses into another group.
- Nothing here opens onto an individual franchisee's business detail. Tapping into a report, survey, or broadcast opens more of what's already an aggregate or a message you sent, not a doorway into any one operator's private numbers. Verinode surfaces the pattern and the reach; your leadership team decides what to do with it.

Note
Broadcasts are one-way. Operators can't reply to a broadcast from their IQ feed; use a survey if you need a response back from the network.
