What this panel is

The Impact page is HQ's mirror of the Impact page every franchisee sees inside their own IQ: what value Verinode has actually produced, but rolled up across the whole network instead of one location. The top band, the hero, is a single headline number, a status pill, and three secondary figures. Everything below it (Value Captured, Needs Attention, Engagement) breaks that same headline down by franchisee. This article covers only the hero band: the headline, the pill, and the three tiles beside it.

HQ never opens a franchisee's own decisions, jobs, or documents to build this number. A nightly rollup reads each franchisee's own Impact data inside their own operator database and writes pre-aggregated counts and dollar totals into a network table. HQ's Impact page reads only that pre-aggregated table, never a franchisee's underlying business records. That boundary holds everywhere on this page, see What HQ sees: the network privacy boundary for the full trust model.

Where to find it

Open Impact from the HQ sidebar, under the Intelligence group (alongside Benchmarks, Margin & Cash, and Forecasting), at hq.verinode.ai/impact. The hero sits at the top of the page with no title of its own, it is the first thing the page shows, above the Value Captured, Needs Attention, and Engagement rows.

The headline: decisions acted

Eyebrow. Reads "Network impact · last 30 days" in small caps above the number. This window is fixed, there is no picker to switch it to a different range on this page (the franchisee-side Impact page inside IQ has a This month / Last 30 days / Year to date / All time picker; the HQ network hero does not, it always reads the trailing rollup window).

The number. A large animated count-up of the total number of decisions acted on across every franchisee in the network during that window. "Acted on" means a franchisee actually took action on a decision Verinode surfaced to them, not merely that a decision was surfaced. It is a plain count with thousands separators (for example, 1,204), never a dollar figure.

When the network has no data yet, this number still renders as 0, animated up from zero the same as any other value. It does not go blank and does not show a dash, a network with zero franchisees reporting reads as a literal zero headline.

The franchisees-active pill

Beside the headline, a pill reads one of two things:

  • "[reporting] of [total] franchisee(s) active", for example "14 of 20 franchisees active". The second number is every franchisee with a rollup snapshot this window, whether or not they did anything measurable. The first number is how many of those actually produced measurable impact, at least one decision acted on, at least one IQ command run, at least one dollar (hard or soft) captured, or at least one document added. A franchisee with a snapshot but no activity in any of those counts toward the total but not toward the "active" count.
  • "No data yet", shown only when the network has no franchisees with a snapshot row at all yet (the nightly rollup has not produced anything to read).

Pill color. Green (the Expand tone) once at least one franchisee has produced measurable impact this window. Otherwise the pill sits in a neutral tone, whether that is because the network genuinely has zero active franchisees this window, or because there is no data at all yet.

The three secondary tiles

To the right of the headline, three flat metric tiles (no boxes, a hairline divider between each) restate the network's value in three registers that are never combined into one number:

  • Recovered. Sub-label "Hard-recoverable (realized)". The total dollar value, network-wide, of decisions franchisees have acted on where the outcome is booked, not projected. Always rendered in the Expand green tone. Shown as a compact dollar figure: under $1,000 as a plain rounded dollar amount, $1,000 and above as "$X.Xk", $1,000,000 and above as "$X.XM".
  • Potential. Sub-label "Soft-conditional". The total dollar value, network-wide, of decisions still in play, acted on but not yet realized (for example, a submission still moving through a carrier). Rendered in a neutral tone (plain foreground text, not colored), because it is not yet a proven number. Same compact dollar formatting as Recovered.
  • Action rate. Sub-label "Decisions acted vs surfaced". The percentage of every decision Verinode surfaced across the network, this window, that a franchisee actually acted on: acted divided by surfaced. Rates of 10% and above render as a whole number (for example, 62%); rates under 10% render with one decimal place (for example, 8.0%). Rate color follows a fixed tone threshold:

- 50% or higher → Expand green. - 25% up to just under 50% → neutral tone. - Under 25% → Analyse red.

Recovered and Potential are never added together into one combined dollar figure anywhere on this page, this is the same hard-recoverable / soft-conditional discipline the franchisee-side Impact page follows, see Hard Recoverable vs Soft Conditional dollars for the full reasoning behind keeping the two registers separate.

When the network has no data yet, all three tiles still render, at $0, $0, and 0.0% respectively, the same way the headline renders 0 rather than a dash. A brand-new or fully quiet network reads as real zeros across the hero, not blank placeholders.

The line under the headline

Under the headline and above the trend area, a sentence restates the same numbers in words. Once the network has at least one franchisee with a snapshot:

"[N] decision(s) acted on across the network · [Recovered $] recovered · [N] IQ command(s) run."

When the network has no franchisees with a snapshot yet, that line is replaced entirely by:

"Impact will appear as franchisees act on decisions, run IQ, and capture recoverable dollars. The nightly rollup fills this in."

How this figure is built

A nightly cron is the only bridge between franchisee data and this page: it reads each franchisee's own Impact figures inside their own operator database, computes the same decisions-acted, hard-recoverable, soft-conditional, and IQ-command counts that franchisee already sees on their own Impact page, and writes one summary row per franchisee, per network, into a network-side table. HQ's Impact page never queries a franchisee's operator database directly, it only reads that pre-aggregated table.

Note

If the network table hasn't been populated yet (for example, immediately after a new rollup table ships, before the first nightly run), the page degrades to the same "No data yet" empty state described above rather than erroring. This is a resilience choice: a missing or not-yet-applied table reads as "no data yet," not as a broken page.

Using this hero

Read the headline and pill together first: a high decisions-acted count paired with a low "active" fraction in the pill means a few franchisees are driving most of the network's activity, worth a look at the Engagement row further down this page. Read Recovered against Action rate next: a network can have a healthy action rate but a thin Recovered figure if most acted-on decisions carry soft-conditional rather than hard-recoverable value, that split is exactly what the Recovered and Potential tiles exist to keep visible instead of blurring into one number. A red Action rate tile is the signal to open the Needs Attention row and see which specific franchisees are behind it, HQ sees the aggregate here, then drills into a member's own summary (never their underlying business data) from the rows below.

Tip

The hero never links anywhere on its own, it has no click target. To go from a network number to a specific franchisee, use the Value Captured, Needs Attention, and Engagement rows underneath it, each tile there opens that franchisee's own record.
