The same section, in your pocket

Subcontractors has a dedicated home on mobile, built as a real view, not a shrunken web page. It carries the same numbers as the desktop section, the same five Explore views, and the same per-sub card, so the coverage question, is this sub insured and worth keeping, is answerable from the truck, which is usually where it comes up.

Where to find it

From your Feed on the phone, open the sections list and look under Operations: Subcontractors sits there alongside Vendors, Equipment, Materials, Fleet, Facilities, and Processes, described as "COIs, job exposure, sub cost vs margin." A Feed link at the top of the page takes you back.

The hero: three numbers

The top of the page is a swipeable band of three hero tiles, the same reads as the desktop hero: Subcontractors (how many are on your books, with "5 current · 2 no COI" beneath, turning red when anything is expired), Sub Spend (everything they have billed to date), and Missing COI (how many have no certificate on file, red whenever that is more than zero). Before anything has flowed in, each tile shows a dash with an honest line, "Appear as invoices + COIs arrive," rather than a fake zero.

Explore: five views in a swipeable deck

The Explore row holds the same five aspects as the web, each as a tile with its headline number: All Subs, COI Current, Sub Spend, Missing COI, and Reliability. Tapping any tile opens a full-screen deck on that view, and you swipe sideways between all five without going back. The content is identical to the desktop deck: the roster ranked by spend with a coverage mix bar, the COI ring with expiring and expired subs listed soonest-first, spend concentration, the uncovered subs ranked by billed work, and the reliability ring with your watch and at-risk subs.

One tradeoff to know: on the phone, the ranked bars inside these views are read-only. To open a specific sub, use the roster row below instead.

The roster, and the per-sub card

Your subcontractors lists each sub as a tile, tinted by coverage status, with their billed total, job count, and COI state. Tapping one opens that sub's full card, and, like everywhere else on mobile, you swipe sideways to move between subs without closing the card.

The card mirrors the desktop sub card section for section:

• Overview, with the reliability ring and label for rated subs, current and past job counts, billed spend, contact details, their ranking among your subs, any callbacks and backcharges, and the trade picker, the same control as on web, so you can set or correct a sub's trades from the phone.
• Replace, appearing only when the sub reads as a drop candidate, with the full flow from replacing a sub: the costed why, the stronger same-trade sub if you have one, the local-alternatives search, and the outreach panel that drafts an introduction email you copy or open in your own mail app.
• Compliance, every certificate with its status and expiry, plus the W-9 toggle, exactly as covered in COI status.
• Jobs and margin, each job they billed with their cost as a share of the job's value.
• Dispatch, the jobs they are on and the open jobs you could put them on.
• Clients, whose work their billing traces back to.
• Performance, the reliability ring, quality, on-time and callback rates, the log of rated engagements, and the performance logger itself, which is arguably the most mobile-native thing in the section: rate the engagement, note the callback, log the backcharge while you are still standing on the job.

What stays on the desktop

Honesty about the tradeoffs, so nothing reads as broken:

• The Subcontractor Analysis app (the verdict, trade rankings, cost, productivity, by client, 1099, and capacity deck) is web-only today. The phone gives you the five Explore views and the full per-sub card; the cross-cutting analysis lives at your desk. See the Subcontractor Analysis app.
• The Take Action decisions row does not render on the mobile section home yet. The decisions themselves still reach you, sub replace cards land in your Feed like every other decision, it is only the section-level row that is desktop-only for now.
• As noted above, bars inside the Explore views do not open subs on the phone; the roster is the way in.

With nothing on the books yet, the page says what fills it: "Your subcontractors appear here as their invoices and certificates of insurance come in by email, upload, or QuickBooks."
