Open a job's file from the Apps row

The launcher tile

The Apps row on both the Jobs and Compliance pages carries a launcher tile headlined "Open a job's file," with the subline "The full record: dispute detail and correspondence, ready to export for a lawyer." It exists for the moment you need a specific job's record and do not want to go find the job first: a carrier fight escalating, counsel asking for the file, an audit needing the paper trail. It lives on Compliance as well as Jobs because that is where the legal-and-records mindset usually is when the need arises.

Clicking the tile does not navigate anywhere. It opens a picker in place, over the page you are on, and closing it drops you back exactly where you were.

The picker

The picker is a searchable list of your jobs, newest first. Type into the "Search by client" field and the list narrows as you type. Each row shows the client's name and a compact meta line with what you need to recognize the job: the claim number ("Claim CLM-2024-8841"), the category, the status, and the billed amount.

Two things you can do from a row:

• Download the job file. Every row carries a compact Job file button that downloads that job's full record as a PDF on the spot, without opening the job. What that document contains is covered in the Job file export.
• Ask IQ instead. A link in the picker hands the question to IQ, and it does not open a blank chat: it seeds a Job File request, so IQ starts by asking which job you mean and then pulls the record, the carrier dispute detail (which lines were cut and why, who the adjuster was, whether a position was reversed) and the correspondence. If nothing matches your search, the picker says "No jobs match. Jobs appear here as they flow in from your tools," which is the honest read: the picker lists the jobs Verinode has, and a job that never flowed in from your estimating tool, accounting file, or inbox cannot be picked.

Where the deeper options live

The picker's per-row download always produces the full record, which is the right default when the document is going to your own counsel. The redacted copy, for sharing more broadly with third-party names masked, lives on the job hero's caret menu rather than in the picker; open the job itself when you need it.
